Objectives

The objectives of the SDB is to contribute to the realization of a drug policy that will result in fewer health hazards and less crime. The SDB advocates, first of all, the decriminalisation of the purchasing of drugs by coffee shops ('back-door problem') and promotes the realization of distribution projects for other drugs. The Foundation feels that increasing municipal autonomy is the best immediate way forward. Eventually the production and sale of drugs should be completely decriminalised, leaving no more room for criminal organizations, and be brought under the umbrella of rules and regulations aimed at a limited and safe use of drugs.
